TierPoint Sales Enablement Consultant Abi Angel is a six-year member of The Red Shoe Society, a group of young professionals dedicated to making a difference for families staying at the Charleston, S.C., Ronald McDonald House while their seriously ill children receive treatment at the Medical University of South Carolina. That support includes fundraising, advocacy and service. Abi currently serves as the group’s president.

“The house is typically at capacity, serving as a home away from home for 32 families experiencing one of the most emotional and vulnerable times in their lives,” said Abi. “We try to help in ways that allow parents to completely focus on their sick children.”

Needs vary daily, but can include meal preparation, cleaning, dog walking or even a late night car seat purchase for a baby who is finally going home.

“We also attend charitable events, organize donation drop offs, address seasonal needs and more,” said Abi. “There are many unique and incredible opportunities to help. Along the way, I’ve met many wonderful people. I encourage anyone looking for a way to give back to visit their local Ronald McDonald House.”

TierPoint Gives Back donation will help fund production of a testimonial video that RMH of Charleston will use to spread awareness of their services.
