Hurricane Florence Update

UPDATE 9/17/18:

After the Storm

Team TierPoint was fortunate to get through Hurricane Florence unaffected. Current reports suggest all employees and their families are safe and sound, and all our North Carolina data centers are on utility power and operating normally. One Raleigh data center temporarily transferred to generator power over the weekend, but all systems operated as they should and no customer impact was experienced, due to the storm.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and businesses that were impacted, and we invite those who wish to contribute to Red Cross relief efforts to join us in doing so here.

Storm Preparations

Team TierPoint has taken a series of steps to get ready for the storm approaching the Carolinas.

Our North Carolina data centers are staffed and prepared. All critical data center infrastructure has been inspected and tested.  Emergency generator systems are fully fueled. Also, personnel in areas outside the storm’s projected path are on call to provide added support, when and where needed.

We will provide further updates, as needed.  In the meantime, if you have infrastructure in our North Carolina facilities and require support, please direct questions to our Enterprise Operations Center (EOC) team by calling 844-200-8718.
