Thinking about attending PTC’18 (Pacific Telecommunications Council) this year? It’s the 40th anniversary of this premier educational and networking event for professionals in the telecommunication and connected infrastructure industry.
But, before you go, you should also know that PTC is more than just an educational and networking organization. It’s also a non-profit organization committed to raising funds and sponsoring community development projects. In a recent article published in Capacity magazine, Tony Rossabi, President of PTC (and TierPoint’s Chief Revenue Officer), cited some examples of the great work the organization is doing around the world – PTC: Connecting Worlds and Advancing ITC.
TierPoint will be sending executive team members to this year’s conference, and each of them will be either leading a session or part of a roundtable:
- Tony Rossabi will moderate an international Executive Insight Roundtable, Data Deluge: Meeting Data Center and Network Challenges.
- Andy Stewart, TierPoint EVP & Chief Strategy Officer, will participate in an Executive Roundtable: Will the Edge Eat the Cloud?
- Paul Mazzucco, TierPoint SVP & Chief Security Officer, will co-present a security session: Security, Privacy and Data Protection (The Dark Net’s Role in DDoS Attacks and What Can Be Done About It)
If you’d like to connect with our team at PTC ’18, we’ve set up a special site where you can schedule a meeting or RSVP to our Sunday Football Brunch event at Yard House: Making Connections at PTC’18.
Finally, did we mention that PTC ’18 is in Hawaii? While the organization was founded to promote industry development in the Pacific Rim, in more recent years, it’s set its sights on other regions as well. PTC ’18 is a perfect opportunity for those of you who feel like you’ve been trapped in a freezer to thaw out and make new connections at the same time.
