Overview

As one of North America's largest mobility providers, LAZ Parking supports more than 22,000 employees across 5,700 locations while managing sensitive business and customer information. As the organization prepared to expand its use of Microsoft AI technologies, leadership recognized that trusted data, strong governance, and modern security controls would be essential.

Through a 100% funded Data Security Workshop, TierPoint helped LAZ Parking make sense of Microsoft's rapidly evolving security and governance capabilities. Together, the teams built a practical roadmap to strengthen information governance, simplify compliance, and prepare for what comes next.

The Challenge

Keeping up with Microsoft had become increasingly difficult. New security capabilities, governance features, AI services, and licensing options seemed to arrive constantly, making it difficult to know which technologies mattered most and where to focus next.

At the same time, LAZ Parking wanted to ensure sensitive information remained protected across Microsoft 365 while preparing for AI adoption. Leadership needed confidence that governance, compliance, and security policies would support—not slow down—the organization's future technology investments.

The Approach

TierPoint partnered with LAZ Parking to deliver a comprehensive Data Security Strategy Engagement designed to strengthen information governance and prepare the organization for secure AI adoption. Through discovery, technical assessments, and collaborative planning, TierPoint helped LAZ Parking better understand its current data security posture, define key business and technical requirements, and develop a future-state Microsoft data security strategy tailored to the organization's environment and goals.

To support the engagement, TierPoint configured native Microsoft Purview capabilities to assess the environment, provide greater visibility into sensitive data and AI-related risks, and help validate the requirements that informed the future-state conceptual design. These insights also provided the LAZ team with greater familiarity and confidence in Microsoft's native data security capabilities.
